Announcements

Campus chill water system activation 

鈥孎acilities Services has begun the process of starting up the campus chill water system, which provides air conditioning for some campus buildings and should be ready in early May. The following buildings are affected: Bolton Hall, Palamountain Hall, Tisch Learning Center, Barrett Center, Ladd Hall, Case Center, Howe Rounds Hall, Wait Hall, one section of Jonsson Tower, Lucy Scribner Library, and Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater. 

鈥孍clipse glasses donations 鈥 鈥

鈥學ondering what to do with your solar eclipse glasses? Collection boxes are located in Case lobby by the Information Desk and in the lobby of the JKB Theater. Set up your own collection box and then drop off or send glasses in campus mail to Eunice Ferreira by April 30. Glasses should be free of punctures, scratches, and tears. Donations will be shipped to schoolchildren in South America for an upcoming eclipse. 

鈥孏uitarist Marc Ribot to perform 

鈥孉rthur Zankel Music Center is pleased to announce a screening of Charlie Chaplin鈥檚 classic silent film "The Kid" (1921) with live musical accompaniment by legendary guitarist at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. 鈥 use code SKIDKID for early access; tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, April 19. 鈥孋ompost bucket pickup 

鈥孲tudent Compost Managers Tori Adams 鈥24 and Lisle Jamieson 鈥24 are collecting compost buckets starting Monday, April 29. All apartment residents should leave their buckets outside their apartment. The composting program will restart in the fall semester. 

鈥孴ang faculty preview

鈥孴he Tang Teaching Museum will hold a preview of 2024-25 exhibitions and programs for all faculty at noon on Wednesday, May 15. Lunch will be provided. An invitation with information on how to RSVP will be emailed to faculty soon. 

鈥孌ance Department spring concert 

鈥孴he Dance Department鈥檚 annual spring concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. This year's program features new faculty works by Visiting Artist in Residence Chia-Ying Kao, Associate Professor Jason Ohlberg, Senior Lecturer Erika Pujic, and Assistant Professor Kieron Dwayne Sargeant. Interlibrary loan return request

Give+Go move-out donation collection鈥

From April 28 to May 18, students are invited to donate non-perishable food, clothes, and gently used home goods to our local nonprofit partners: Backstretch, Trinity Alliance, and Capital City Rescue Mission. Athletics News

There's a packed schedule of home games ahead this weekend, kicking off on Friday with the softball team playing the University of Rochester in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. and followed by the women's lacrosse team taking on St. Lawrence University at 4 p.m. On Saturday morning, the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 rowing teams will be competing in the New York State Championships. Also on Saturday, the men's lacrosse team and the softball team will be celebrating Senior Day; at 11 a.m., men鈥檚 lacrosse will be competing against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and softball will be playing RIT in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The baseball team will take on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in a doubleheader at noon. Women's lacrosse will have their Alumni Appreciation Game against Clarkson University at 3 p.m. Visit the for updates.
