Announcements

April staff and faculty meetings 

鈥孉pril staff and faculty meetings will take place this Friday, April 5, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, second floor. The will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and the will take place at 3:30 p.m. Employees have the option to participate in either meeting by Zoom.

Solar eclipse viewing glasses and event 鈥

鈥孎rom approximately 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, the moon will gradually block the sun in the sky above 三亿体育官网. At 3:27 p.m., the sun will be 98% percent blocked by the moon. The Office of Communications and Marketing will distribute free 三亿体育官网-branded eclipse glasses for the community to pick up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 4, 5, and 8 outside of the 三亿体育官网 Shop 鈥 while supplies last. All are then invited to bring their glasses and questions to Case Green for a viewing event featuring science faculty, including astrophysicist Mary Crone Odekon.

鈥孻es! Days for accepted students 

鈥孴丑别 College will be hosting Yes! Days for admitted students on Friday, April 5; Friday, April 12; and Monday, April 15. Please be aware that there will be an increase in traffic across campus on these dates, including at the North Broadway entrance and Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. Parking in multiple areas of campus, primarily near Arthur Zankel Music Center, will be affected. Everyone is invited to address questions, provide directions, or simply say hello to our guests as they chart the next four years of their academic journeys.

鈥孭resident鈥檚 office hours 鈥 鈥 鈥

鈥孭resident Conner will hold office hours from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 4. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to request a 10-minute, in-person appointment. To register, please email presoff@skidmore.edu. Requests will be handled in the order that they are received. 

鈥孧iddle States affirmation of accreditation 

鈥屓谔逵偻 is beginning the affirmation of accreditation through (MSCHE). An informational meeting about the process will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, and feature MSCHE Vice President Liaison Judith Sciple. 鈥孒iring for Reunion weekend 

鈥孉lumni Engagement is hiring current students and college-aged children of 三亿体育官网 employees to serve as Reunion ambassadors, assisting alumni engagement staff throughout Reunion weekend (Thursday, May 30, to Monday, June 2). Campus housing for that weekend is available to current students. 鈥2024 Summer Pre-College

鈥孌id you know is one of the top 10 in the country? Returning to in-person learning this year, high school juniors and seniors are invited to live on campus, take 三亿体育官网 classes, and earn college credit. Classes run July 1 to Aug. 3.

Give+Go move-out donation collection 

鈥孎rom April 28 to May 18, students are invited to donate non-perishable food, clothes, and gently used home goods to our local nonprofit partners: Backstretch, Trinity Alliance, and Capital City Rescue Mission. Celebrating Earth Month 

鈥孴丑别 Office of Sustainability will be hosting a variety of events throughout April in celebration of Earth Month. A full schedule of events, including a campus tree tour, an Arbor Day tree planting, and more, is available online or at on Instagram. Contact Jen Natyzak with questions.

鈥孲tudents and employees are invited by class year and staff/faculty group to participate in Reusemore and reduce campus waste by signing up for reusable containers at The Spa. The group with the most April sign-ups has the chance to win a Spa gift card. Contact Isabella Figlioli with questions.

Altered book contest 鈥

鈥孲cribner Library welcomes all individual and team entries for the ninth annual . Entries will be accepted through noon on Friday, April 12.  

Jigsaw puzzles needed 

鈥孉s finals approach, 's first-floor puzzle table receives a lot of use; consider donating old jigsaw puzzles so the library can continue to offer this resource. The bigger the puzzle, the better. Puzzles can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk during open hours.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K Run/Walk 

鈥孴丑别 second annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, April 28. begins at 12:30 p.m. for a 1 p.m. start. The first 100 to register will receive a free T-shirt.鈥

鈥孞oin the Workforce Team Challenge

鈥孴丑别 Workforce Team Challenge, a race supporting the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club and local charities, will take place on Thursday, May 16, in Albany. To participate, select 三亿体育官网鈥檚 team and fill out all the required information. Do not check out; 三亿体育官网鈥檚 team captain, Darren Drabek, will manage payment. Athletics News

As spring teams dive fully into Liberty League play, a big weekend of games is on the horizon. The men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 rowing teams will host 12 colleges and universities on Saturday for the 三亿体育官网 Sprints on Fish Creek. The women鈥檚 tennis team will host William Smith College at 9 a.m. on Saturday and RIT at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Men鈥檚 tennis will host RIT at 2 p.m. on Saturday and RIT at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The men鈥檚 lacrosse team hosts nationally second-ranked RIT at noon on Saturday; also at noon, the baseball team hosts Vassar for a doubleheader. Visit the for updates.
