Julia Blanck 鈥24 and Tate Brandon 鈥24

Women鈥檚 basketball forward Julia Blanck 鈥24 is Liberty League鈥檚 Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, while men鈥檚 ice hockey goalie Tate Brandon 鈥24 was named New England Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Year. The men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming and diving teams also set 19 program records.

Announcements

Update on College budget

鈥孭resident Marc Conner, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer Daniel Konstalid, and other College administrators will present information about the College budget from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 6, on the second floor of Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. All faculty and staff are invited to attend in person or via Zoom. Zoom login information was sent via email yesterday. The presentation will include information about the budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year and other key elements of the College鈥檚 financial status and outlook, as well as ample opportunities for questions and feedback.

鈥孴he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding how people can protect themselves and others from respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. Using this latest guidance, 三亿体育官网 has updated some College policies accordingly and shared those updates in emails to students, staff, and faculty earlier this morning, March 6. 鈥孲ave the dates: Frederick Lawrence residency 鈥屸赌

鈥屓谔逵偻 is excited to welcome , secretary and CEO of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, to campus from March 19-21 for a residency on freedom of speech, expression, academic freedom, and related issues. A public lecture, "Free Speech on Campus in Challenging Times," will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. Additional details along with information about other meetings, discussions, workshops, and opportunities to participate will be shared soon.The visit advances community conversations in support of speech and expression, which continues to be a strategic goal in 三亿体育官网鈥檚 Strategic Action Agenda this year. 

鈥孲ustainable landscapes at 三亿体育官网 

鈥孴he Sustainability Office has shared the Sustainable Landscape Plan, created to develop and advance the stormwater management and sustainable landscape goals of both the Campus Master Plan and the Campus Sustainability Plan. The plan will serve as a working guide for designing and managing projects that promote green infrastructure, native and diverse landscapes, and enhanced utilization of outdoor space for education and recreation.

鈥孴he 三亿体育官网 swimming and diving team is offering swimming lessons for children 4 years and older every Thursday, beginning March 28. Athletics News

三亿体育官网 athletic teams will head south over spring break for warm weather and competition. The softball team will play 10 games in central Florida. The baseball team has nine games in Fort Myers, Florida. The men鈥檚 lacrosse team will play two games in North Carolina and one in Maryland. The women鈥檚 tennis team has three matches in Texas. The women鈥檚 lacrosse team will play a game in New Jersey before finishing spring break with home games against Hartwick and Bard, March 15 and 16.
